The former kingdom of Mustang is in the western extremity of Nepal and the perfect place to explore Tibetan Buddhist culture. This fantastic trek commences from Pokhara in Nepal where we fly to Jomson, 2730m up the deep and cavernous Kali Gandaki river valley. Awe-inspiring views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna massifs are afforded from both sides of the aircraft. In Jomson, we commence our horseback and foot trek, passing through villages and settlements, along castle ruins, and prehistoric cave dwellings and monasteries. The trek traverses numerous river systems and suspension bridges.
The trip includes 6 non-safari/trek days and a sightseeing day in Katmandu.
