Having arrived DELHI by AI 111, at 05:30 am. Transfer to hotel, full day S/S in Delhi. O/N YWCA.
Delhi is the capital of India. It is one of the oldest cities of India having a very rich past. Many dynasties ruled from here and the city is rich in the architecture of its monuments. Diverse cultural elements absorbed into the daily life of the city have enriched its character. Exploring the city can be a fascinating and rewarding experience. O/N YWCA.
Day 02
Morning in Delhi afternoon flt # 9W 707 1345/1455 to Udaipur. Sightseeing and riding O/N Shikarbadi.
This celestial "City of Sunrise" is the residence of the highest of the Rajput rulers and chief of the "Solar" Rajput clan.
Named after its founder Maharana Udai Singh, it was built in 1567 and was the capital of old state of Mewar. Udaipur stands in a valley, amid green hills on the banks of the wide, steel blue Lake Pichhola. On little islands in the lake, from the water's edge, rise marble palaces of pure white that glisten like fairy castles.
Day 03
Morning drive to Kumbalgarh. O/N Shikarbadi after explores.
Visit the City Palace, where one can find rooms with mirrored walls and ivory doors, colored glass windows and inlaid marble balconies. Also visit the famous peacock courtyard, Saheliyon ki Bari gardens or Garden of Ladies, lay out with lush green lawns, kiosks, trees and beautiful fountains and the Jagdish Temple is also an important site. Later proceed to the local folk museum having beautiful peacock mosaics, splendid series of figures in mid 19th century.
A motor launch cruise on Lake Pichola takes you to Jag Niwas Palace, built of granite and marble, covers 4 acres and is built almost in the middle of the lake. Also visit the Borra Mahal, Khas Mahal and the courts, gardens and fountains. Later visit Jag Mandir Palace as well.
Day 04
Drive to KORTA [160km, 4hrs]. O/N
The Rajputs were born to be horse riders (Ashwarohi). The tradition was strongly enforced in ancient times when the cavalry formed the most important flanks of the army. Special indigenous breed called "Marwaari" which are hardy, agile, sensitive, sturdy and intelligent were bred. O/N.
Day 05
Another day in Korta. Explore by horseback. O/N.
Located in small village by the name of Kotri in Pali district of Rajasthan, Kotri Raola is a small fort palace located atop a hillock. Kotri Raola is a 200-years-old castle where the continuity with the past is still a norm. The village is located at the foot of Aravalli Hills and a 7th century archeological site is near by.
Day 06
Morning drive to JODHPUR [160km, 04hrs]. After Lunch full day Sightseeing in Jodhpur O/N Inn Season.
Holiday at the most happening holiday spots in India in the city of Jodhpur that lies on the edge of the Thar Desert. Experience the inimitable imperial grandeur in the palaces and temples. Day 07
Morning drive to JAISALMER [305km, 06hrs]. Camel safari. O/N.
Far out in the Great Indian Thar Desert, Jaisalmer rises like a mirage from the sands, a huge fortified city in the middle of nowhere.
Architecturally, the city has a wonderful legacy of old buildings, united by the common use of local yellow stone and beautifully preserved due to the isolated location.
Some of the glories of Jaisalmer are the mansions called Havelis of the Rajput Nobles and merchants. Salim Singh-ki-Haveli has a beautiful arched roof and exquisitely carved details, with brackets in the form of peacocks.
Also visit the spectacular Patwon-ki-Haveli that has exquisitely carved pillars and extensive corridors and chambers; and the Gadi Sagar Tank - surrounded by a small temple and shrines. O/N.
Day 08:
Morning in Jaisalmer, afternoon back drive to Jodhpur [305km 6hrs]. O/N Inn Season.
Day 09:
Morning train # 2466, 0545/1045 to Jaipur, later drives to Hotel Ramgarh Lodge, countryside riding. Afternoon lesson on wooden horse and riding for Polo, stick and ball, Evening Shopping for fabrics, Welcome by Rajasthani Cultural Dance. O/N
Day 10:
Morning on wooden horse and riding for Polo. Countryside riding for those not taking above. Afternoon Instructional and warm-up stick and ball and wooden horse. Evening Sitar Musical Program. O/N Ramgarh lodge.

Rajasthan is considered to be one of the most colourful regions of India. Geographically varied, it includes the Thar Desert, the Aravalli (the oldest fold mountains in the world), large areas of semi desert scrub, and wonderful lakes. Replete with forts, palaces, pomp and splendor, India's colourful desert state of Rajasthan offers polo enthusiasts exciting adventures on, and beyond, the polo field.
The sightseeing tour of the city also includes a visit to the City Palace, which covers a large area divided into a series of courtyards, gardens and buildings. A part of this Palace is a now a museum, containing three wings of Armory, Textiles and Artifacts. City Palace is delightful blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture.
A part of the palace is still the house of the former Maharaja of Jaipur. Also visit to the famous Jantar Mantar Observatory built by Raja Jai Singh in 1728.
It is an excellent example of the marvelous precision wherein each construction has a specific purpose to measure the position of stars, altitudes and azimuths or calculating eclipses. The most striking instrument is the Sun Dial, which is 90 feet high. For fashion, textiles, antiques, jewellery and craft, Jaipur is a paradise.
Day 11:
Morning countryside riding for those not taking above. Afternoon practice Chukkas and Elephant ride at Amber fort. Evening Puppet Show.
Amber: This is an ancient capital of Jaipur and the Kachhawaha Rajputs. Amber (12 kms from Jaipur), today stands out as a magnificent example of Rajput architecture, standing tall on a hillside and overlooking a lake, which reflects its ramparts and terraces. Construction on the fort began in 1592 under the aegis of Raja Man Singh, the Rajput commander of Akbar's army. It was later extended and completed by the Jai Singhs before they moved to Jaipur in the plains.
One of the main attractions is The Jai Mandir (Hall of Victory), which is delicately ornamented with fine inlay work. The Fort of Jaigarh, crowning the hilltop is of amazing beauty and grandeur. One travels in style on elephant back up to the fort for a guided tour of its amazing interiors.
Day 12:

Day 14:
Morning drive to Agra visiting Fatehpur Sikri enroute. See Taj and other Mughal Monuments O/N Taj Kheema.
The royal city at Fatehpur Sikri, situated 26 miles west of Agra, was built at the orders of the Mughal Emperor Akbar. While Akbar himself was illiterate, he took a keen interest in literature, architecture, and the arts. Fatehpur Sikri is now a World Heritage site.
Agra attained its magnificence under the Emperor Akbar The Great. Once the capital of Mughal India in the 16th and 17th century, it depicts a gorgeous panorama of majestic architectural creations and rich tradition of art and culture.
Agra houses one of Seven Wonders of the World, the marble symphony of Emperor Shah Jahan - "The Taj Mahal". Discover the dazzling creations of their craftsmen in other architectural marvels in Agra, the quintessential Mughal City. Emperor Shah Jahan constructed this famous Mughal Monument (closed on Fridays) in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal.
It is described as the most extravagant monument ever built for love, the emperor was heart broken when Mumtaz to whom he had been married for seventeen years, died in 1631 while giving birth to her 15th child.
