Mysore to Hadinaru is about 25km. The ride
will be through villages, sugar cane fields, and paddy and across the cannels.
We will pass the Chamundi temple (on the Top of Chamundi hill) that is
worshipped by the Royal family Wadiyars. When Hadinaru you can view the Chamundi
hill from the campsite. Performance by folk artists in the evening.
31st JAN. Day 02
Nanjungud is about 25kmfrom Hadinaru.
Nanjungud is famous for the Lord Shiva temple. Performance by folk artists in
the evening.
01st FEB. Day 03
. Suttur Famous for
its mutt (a religious Institution), which has established Schools and colleges
in Mysore and Suttur. The ride to Suttur is very scenic. Performance by folk
artists in the evening.
02nd FEB. Day 04
. T. Narasipura 25km
from Suttur. The ride will be through canals and fields.
. Evening bullock Theme party.
03rd FEB. Day05
. T Narasipura to
Allbethali 25 km
. The ride will be alongside the
canals, and come across various species of birds. Evening fortuneteller.
04th FEB. Day 06
. Allbethalli to
Kestur
. Morning B/F after start on the ride
along the scrub jungle in nights chance of wild bore come near the camp to eat
potatoes near field .Also we will ride next canal Evening born fire and dinner
and have farewell.
05th FEB. Day 7
. B/F and leave by
their vehicle for the clients should reach in the morning to ChamarajaNagar at
of Chamaraja Mantap belonging to Wadiyars.
.Drive to Mysore 2 hours and spend overnight at the Metropole.Explore the
Mysore Palace by twilight.
06th FEB.
Drive after breakfast to Bangalore and reach for lunch. Explore the city for a
couple of hours and board the evening flight to Kochy 06 Feb IT 2453
BLR-COK depart 18.40/ arrive 20.00. . Drive 1.5 hrs to Kumarakom arriving for
a late dinner.

Hadinaru:
A small
village located
25 kms from Mysore; this village is famous because Yaduraya
the Progenitor of the Wadiyar Dynasty came here first before becoming the
ruler of Mysore. One can still see the Mantap, which was erected to
commemorate his presence. The camp is on top of a hill called Ollmav Beta
(Hill). |
Suttur:
It is 14 kms from Najungud;
Suttur is famous for the
Shivarathreeshwara Math (a religious Institution), which runs many
educational institutions, Hospitals, Hostels, etc. Inside the math
premises, is the triple shrined Mahadeshwara Temple in the Hoysala
style. An annual jatra (fair) including cattle fair is held in honor of its
pioneer saint, Shivarathreeshwara. |
T. Narasipura:
T. Narasipura 25 kms from Mysore. The town is called
Tirumakudlu Narasipura a confluence of three rivers the Cauvery, the Kabini
and the mythical Spharitika Sarovara; this is an important
pilgrimage center. It is Sanctified by Sage Agasthya founded the
Agasthyeshwara temple. The agasthyeshwara temple complex contains
many monuments belonging to Ganga, Chola, Hoysala and Vijayanagara periods
and also the temple of Narasimhaswamy (an incarnation of lord Vishnu).

Najungud is about 25 kms
from Hadinaru, it has an old temple of
Lord Shiva, and generally this is worshiped even now. It has river
Kabini flowing, in the mouth of May there is a beautiful yathra
(carnival) lot of pilgrims visit during this period. |

Albethalli is about 25 kms
from T Narasipura, there is another
beautiful temple of Goddess Tribadevi |
Kestur:
Albetahalli to Kestur is about 25 to 30 kms; this is close to
Chamaraja Nagar. |
